1787 New Jersey Copper, Maris 6-D, R2. PCGS VF35. A nice example of this distinctive variety with the “M” ears, acting as a designer's mark of Walter Mould. Weakly struck at the 87 of the date, otherwise well stuck overall. Well centered. Surfaces show some microporosity under magnification. A great candidate for a midrange type or variety collection.
