1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 17-b, R3. Straight Plow Beam, Narrow Shield, PLUKIBUS variety. Large Planchet. PCGS VF-25 152.58 grains. A Very nice medium example of this sought after variety.  The surfaces are microscopically pours and there is a rim abnormality that appears to be the tiniest remnant of a double strike. The obverse is well centered, while the is slightly off to the upper left. All devices and lettering, as is the date are fully readable. Die Sate 2 with the letter R in PLURIBUS broken, making the popular Red Book variety clear and distinct. It should also be noted that this piece falls into the full weight category, which is not always the case.  Overall, a very presentable example for a nice midgrade variety collection.
